Static QR codes encode data directly in the pattern and cannot be changed after creation. Dynamic QR codes use a short redirect URL, allowing you to update the destination, track scans, and view analytics without reprinting the code.
Mostly, yes. All QR codes are generated entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript, and your QR code content is never sent to our servers. The one exception: the address search on Location QR codes sends what you type to a third-party lookup service (Komoot), not to us, so it can suggest matching addresses. Skip the search and enter coordinates manually if you'd rather nothing leave your device at all.
