QR Code Harbor next to the other QR code generators, in their own numbers

On 9 September 2026 we opened the public pricing page of every generator below and wrote down what it said. No scores, no stars, no “best for”: the table is what their pages say, and the two sections under it are what we read off them.

If a number is out of date, tell us at support@qrcodeharbor.com and we will fix it or take the row down.

Free plans and the cheapest paid plan

“Dynamic” means a code whose destination you can change after it is printed. A static code is a file; nobody can expire it, so every generator’s static codes are free forever whatever the marketing says.

Where we are behind

A comparison page that only lists wins is an advert. These are the things on the pricing pages above that we do not offer.

  • Team seats. QR.io includes 5, Scanova’s Pro includes 5, QRFY says unlimited, Hovercode’s Business has up to 10. Ours is one login per account.
  • Custom domains. Hovercode Pro, QRFY, Scanova Pro and Bitly Growth include your own short domain. Ours resolve on qrcodeharbor.com.
  • More free dynamic codes. Hovercode gives 3 and QRStuff 10 (expiring after 30 days); ME-QR gives unlimited with ads. We give 2, forever, without ads.
  • Unlimited dynamic codes on a paid plan. QRFY and QR.io sell unlimited codes; our Business plan stops at 500. If you need more than that, we are not the cheapest option today.

Where we are ahead, on the same pages

Nothing to lose when a plan ends

Bitly’s and QRStuff’s free codes are per-month or expire; the trial-only generators switch a printed code off when the trial does. Our free dynamic codes have no expiry, and a paid code keeps redirecting to its last destination after the subscription ends. The FAQ spells out what does and does not change when a subscription ends.

Every file format on every plan

SVG, PDF, EPS and 4096 px PNG are free on every plan, including the one without an account. We stopped selling file types in September 2026 and will not start again.

No ads, no watermark

ME-QR’s and Bitly’s free plans show ads to the people who scan or use the code. Ours does not, on any plan, and the free landing page carries only a small “Powered by” line.

Barcodes, file hosting and a keyless API, free

All 38 barcode symbologies, a hosted PDF, image or audio file up to 15 MB behind a code, and a one-GET image API are on the free plan. On the pricing pages above these are either absent or listed on a paid tier.

Your scan data without raw IP addresses

Our scan log stores a daily-rotating token derived from the IP, never the IP itself. The security page says exactly what is kept and for how long.

Twenty languages

The whole interface, not just the marketing pages, in 20 languages.

Decide with a real code, not a table

Make one on the home page, scan it with your phone, download the SVG. If that is enough, you never need an account. If you need to change where it points later, the two free dynamic codes are waiting behind a sign-in.
